Kitchen Drawer Organizer Layout Checker

Measure a drawer, and see how many sourced fixed-footprint bins and trays fit across its width and how many rows can lie along its depth, with the arithmetic and each bin's source shown.

Drawer organizers mostly fail on width. This checker takes the fixed-footprint bins and trays we have sourced sizes for, and works out the most that fit across your measured drawer, the tightest fill, and how many rows can lie along the depth. It is straight addition against the numbers you give it, with a gap between bins you can set, and it makes no claim about what a drawer or a bin can hold.

How the layouts are worked out

Each module is a rectangle of its stated across-width by its stated depth. Laying modules across the drawer, the widths add up:

width of bin 1 + gap + width of bin 2 + ... ≤ your drawer width

The checker searches the whole module set exactly, so the "most modules" and "tightest fill" figures are the true best for the numbers you entered. It repeats a module type where that helps, and drops any module wider than the whole drawer. The layout list shows a distinct selection, not every ordering.

It ignores drawer sides, runners, dividers, sloping or shaped drawer fronts, and anything already in the drawer. It does not check the drawer's load or the bins' strength, and a combination that fits by arithmetic may still not suit how you actually use the drawer. Measure your clear internal width, not the drawer front.

Flexible fillers (not counted above): these trays have an expandable width, so they have no single footprint and are excluded from the count. Size one to the gap you want: OXO 13321900 (9.8 to 18.05 in wide) , OXO 13322000 (7.33 to 12.83 in wide) , Totally Bamboo Expandable 5-Compartment (13 to 22 in wide) , Seville Classics BMB17036 (13 to 23 in wide) , mDesign 15160MDK (11 to 18 in wide) , SpaceAid 17-22 in divider set (17 to 22 in wide) , Lifewit medium slim (8.1 to 13.9 in wide) .

Every module's size comes from our sourced dimension reference, where you can check the source and date of each one. Checking a single pull-out instead? Use the pull-out fit checker.
