Pull-Out Cabinet Organizer Fit Checker
Check whether a pull-out or cabinet organizer fits your cabinet opening. Enter your measured clear width, depth and height and a product's stated size and published minimum opening, and see the fit per axis, with the arithmetic shown.
Measure the clear opening inside your cabinet: front to back between the cabinet face and the back wall, side to side, and top to bottom under any fixed shelf. Enter those three numbers, then pick a fixed-footprint product or type its size. For each axis the checker uses whichever is larger, the product size plus the clearance you set, or the maker's published minimum opening, and reports the two separately so you can see which one decides the fit. It answers fit only.
This checker models a rectangular opening and a fixed-size product such as a pull-out shelf, wire basket or rectangular shelf. It does not model round, kidney-shaped or pie-cut lazy susans, blind-corner swing-out mechanisms, dividers, expandable-width trays or multi-piece sets, because those are not one rectangular box; several of those are in the dimension reference instead. When in doubt, use the maker's own measuring guide.

How the check works
On each axis the required space is the larger of two numbers: the product's stated size plus twice the clearance you set, and the maker's published minimum opening for that axis (where the maker states one).
required = max(product + 2 x clearance, published minimum opening)
The product fits that axis when your measured opening is at least the required space; every axis must fit for the product to fit. "Which controls" names the deciding requirement, so a product whose maker requires a bigger opening than its own size (a 14 in shelf with a 15 in minimum opening, for example) is not reported as fitting an opening between those two numbers.
This is a measuring aid built from the numbers you enter. It does not account for hinges, handles, a front frame lip, a cabinet door, an angled or corner cabinet, sloping ceilings, pipes or sockets, and it is not a guarantee of installation, load or safety. Check the product's own fitting instructions and measure twice.
Product sizes and published minimums come from our sourced dimension reference, where each row shows its source URL and retrieval date. Laying out several drawer bins instead? Use the drawer layout checker.
