Timing Is Everything

And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? ~Luke 18:7 (NIV)

Waiting For Power

by

Holy-Spirit

I hope that you have enjoyed this week of Vacation Bible School for grown-ups.

If you are just joining us, you can read the posts from earlier in the week – How Great Is My Faith?, The Result of Great Forgiveness, A Spiritual Rebirth, and The Importance Of Sharing Our Faith.

I pray that you, too, have been blessed by what you have read here this week.

Today’s lesson comes from Acts 1:1-11. Our focus is that more than just telling others about Christ with our mouths; we need to show His love to others with our lives. Continue reading →

When the winds start to blow and the rain starts to fall, I listen to this song. It not only calms me, but helps me remember that, as they say, I am forgetting to tell my storm just how big my God is.

Kari’s lyrics remind me that I need to be still. I need to stop being about the business of panicking and get about the business of praying. I need forget about worrying and focus on waiting.

I need to remember that the God of the universe is with me. I can stand on the mountain knowing that His arms will hold me strong and keep me safe. There is nothing else in the world that helps calm my soul like the reminder of these truths: Continue reading →
