5 Steps to Being Diligent & More Organized {Guest Post}

by

Please join me in a warm welcome for my personal friend and fellow blogger, Tobi from Simply Jesus Ministries. You may remember the post she shared with us, Can Somebody Stop This Ride? I Want Off.

Today, Tobi shares some excellent advice for a successful New Year. Without any future ado, here she is…

5steps

So I just read this blog post and my favorite string of words is…

“Let’s share our words for the growth of those who read them and for the glory of the One who gives them!” -Heather Baker, My Overflowing Cup

The reason that they are my favorite is because above all, I desire to speak and write words that would come from the heart of God sent to touch the hearts of others.

I can live on this earth and be busy all day long, but if my words or actions don’t make a difference, what’s the point? Continue reading →

Weary From The Race

Life is a race.

Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me His own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.                                                                             ~ Philippians 3:12-14

When I was a kid, I used to love lying down on the front lawn looking up at the stars. I am sure you probably did, too. At the time they were just a wonderful curiosity to me. I had no concept of how they got there, or even why. I just thought they were magnificent to admire. Continue reading →

The Cost of Unbelief

Numbers 20 tells the story of Moses and the Israelites as they wander in the desert without water.

If you’re familiar with the story, you know that the Israelites often complained bitterly and incessantly to Moses because they considered their wandering in the desert to be a much harsher experience than their slavery in Egypt. At least there they had grain, figs, vines, pomegranates, cucumbers, and leeks among other culinary delights. Here, they didn’t even have water. They made sure to continually remind Moses of their discontent. Continue reading →
