Thankful-for-singleness

Today I am pleased to share a Guest Post with you from Erin at It All Matters Mom.

I had a plan.

It was a good one, too. I’d seen it work out so many other times, so I decided I was all in.

5 Ways To Show Your Children You Love Them

by

hiking

As parents, we all want our children to know that we love them.

Here are my top 5 tips on how to do just that.

1. Listen to them.

Look them in the eye as they speak to you. If they are little, get down on their level. Very often, my kids come to chat with me when I am busy at a task. Sometimes I remember to stop my busy hands, look up from what I am doing, and make eye contact with them.  It is important that we take the time to show our children respect in this way.

Today, I am honored to be sharing this Guest Post over at The Deliberate Mom where Jennifer blogs about faith, parenting, and homeschooling. I hope you’ll spend a little time there being blessed by her words. Not only is she an inspiration to me, but she has a kind heart and a warm personality.

How Great Is My Faith?

I take many weeks to read the Scriptures, the material, to plan, and to pray. Every time, I am reminded that I need these lessons just as much as the kids do. There will be some children who will hear these truths for the first time. There will be others who know the stories, but their faith will be strengthened.

While I don’t usually stumble upon brand new information while preparing to teach VBS, I am always humbled by the fact that though my head may know all of this stuff, my heart needs to ponder it yet again. Continue reading →

Love

by

heart

Should you ever doubt your value or your worth, consider that Love Himself died for YOU.

Perfect died for the imperfect

Love gave His life for the greedy

Whole died for the broken

Truth died for liars

Friend died for His enemies

Selfless died for the selfish

Love gave His life for the haters

Sinless died for the sinner

The world may tell you that you are unworthy, but Jesus Christ said something very different when He hung on that cross and died so that, in Him, you could live.
