“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.” ~Matthew 25:35-36 (ESV)
Just after starting my blog, I posted about an idea of how this blog could be used to raise money for one of my favorite charities. If you’d like to read that post, click here. Go ahead, I’ll wait for ya.
Would you like to know how much you’ve helped me raise?
As promised, here is the first quarterly update:
Facebook Shares: 908
Email subscribers: 45
@ 5 cents each, our total donation is: $79.90
That’s not bad for 3 months. Thank you so much!
Now what? Let’s keep sharing the love:
1. I’d like to continue blogging for charity, but to simplify the process of tracking this information, I will now donate 25 cents for each new email subscriber. If this blog blesses you, keep sharing, tweeting, and telling friends & family.
2. Would you consider donating to my chosen charity, Haiti Healthcare Partners? You could match my donation, donate another amount, donate to your favorite charity, or pray for the charities around the world who strive to make a difference for the least of these.
After all, Jesus said, “…Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.” ~Matthew 25:40 (ESV)
I will be sure to post regular quarterly updates letting you know how much you have helped me raise. Thank you for your continued support. To God be the glory! Always.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your provision and the many blessings You have bestowed upon us. Help us, in our abundance, to remember the least of these. Give us thankful and generous hearts, Lord. Please give us Your wisdom on how and when to give. May we listen to and obey the prompting of the Holy Spirit as we are guided to give generously and abundantly. Thank You for the opportunities You give us to let our lights shine in a hurting world. To You be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
